ROCK CREEK CUTTNG HORSES
Our Story
Rock Creek Cutting Horses is built on decades of dedication to the cutting horse industry and a deep commitment to quality horses, strong bloodlines, and horsemanship.
Owners Marsha and James Vangilder, an NCHA Non-Pro Hall of Fame rider originally from Missouri, have been involved in the sport since 2002 when they started Rock Creek Ranch.. Their passion for cutting led them to establish Rock Creek Cutting Horses in Weatherford, Texas, in 2017, where they have continued to grow a respected breeding and showing program.
Today, the next generation plays a central role in the ranch’s daily operations. Their daughter Grace and her husband Cooper manage the day to day responsibilities, from overseeing the breeding program, showing, and the overall care of the horses.
Rock Creek Cutting Horses is home to an exceptional group of broodmares, including standout broodmares like Driven Miss Sallie and Fancy Deville.. The ranch is also proud to have resident trainer Roger Wagner, whose accomplishments include more than $3.67 million in NCHA lifetime earnings. His presence and experience are invaluable to the program, and play an important role in the development of the next generation of horses we're producing.
With a blend of experience, family dedication, and a forward-looking vision, Rock Creek Cutting Horses remains committed to producing and developing elite cutting horses for the next generation.

Rock Creek Cutting Horses is a program rooted in family- dedicated to breeding quality, top-performing horses, and preserving our legacy in the Cutting Horse industry.
